It starts when you launch (or soft reset) any of the Pokémon games and runs until you press the A button on the "Continue" screen. "The delay may be thought of as a fast counter that increases by one approximately 60 times per second. The exact time on your DS at the moment you press A to 'continue'. It gets generated every time you start up and load your game. This is a hexadecimal number, and it determines every 'random' action in the game.
This number is created by a combination of the target time and delay."
EON TIMER CALIBRATION GEN 5 GENERATOR
"The initial seed is the number which is fed to the random number generator when the game starts.
Calling Irwin/Elm will advance the RNG by 1. I personally don't have access to PokéRus, so I use Irwin, he doesn't require anything. But Elm only works if you've a) visited Kanto, b) shown a Pokemon with the rare PokéRus to nurse Joy, and c) shown him a Togepi that has hatched on that game. You can advance the RNG, and verify if you've hit the right Seed, by calling Elm or Juggler Irwin. This means it's logical that you can only hit odd frames for the IRNG. Calling him advances the IRNG by 2 every call. You can only advance the IRNG by calling Youngster Joey when he doesn't want to battle. Number of RNG advances = Target Frame - Monster Frame If you want the one of frame 2 or 5 or 10 of that Seed, you're going to have to advance the RNG. This means that, if you would collect the egg for example without advancing the RNG, you will get the Pokemon that's on frame 1. The IVs of the Pokemon get created when you collect the egg from the man.īoth the RNG and IRNG for bred Pokemon have a monster frame of 1. The PID of the Pokemon gets created when the man receives the egg, and turns to face the road. The PID determines the shininess of the Pokemon, along with the Nature, Ability and Gender. The normal RNG, which determines the IVs, and the IRNG, which determines the Pokemon's Pokemon ID (PID). Take note of which parent has which max IV.įirst I'm going to tell you some basic stuff about RNG. You're going to check if your shiny baby has the right IVs using this method too. If the Pokemon has more than one max IV, he will note the other stats that are peaked in the order: HP, Atk, Def, Spe, SpA, SpD. If he says: "_ can't be better in that regard." That means that this specific stat has a max IV. You can check this at the Battle Tower, the man near the PC. You can RNG a flawless Ditto on Route 47 or breed for it (short breeding instructions in the Questions section all the way below). Two parents (NO held items) with at least three max IVs (=31) spread among them. The Pokégear needs to be shut down on the screen with the phone numbers, so you don't accidentally open the radio when you're going to advance the RNG.Ĩ. The PokéGear phone numbers of Youngster Joey and Juggler Irwin. No roamers (kill them, they will respawn after you beat the E4 again)ħ.
This is explained all the way down in the Questions section of this guide.Ħ. You can also use the Red Gyarados for this. Ignore the stuff about 'Hitting your Target Time' that's very outdated.Ģ. Your calibrated ranges : your delay and the amount of seconds it takes you to get from Soft Reset (SR) to 'continue'. It has been a while since I RNGed a flawless shiny on SS, but I this is how it's done (I hope I'm not forgetting anything):ġ.
